A Delhi court refused to give death penalty to a convict who raped a four-year-old girl, saying it isn't a "rarest of rare case". The convict, a 22-year-old man, was given life imprisonment. The victim's mother told the court the child underwent multiple surgeries and was on liquid diet. The court observed she couldn't stand or sit after the surgeries.
