The Central Board of Direct Taxes has formally notified the 'Direct Tax Vivad Se Vishwas' scheme, which will come into effect from October 1. The scheme, unveiled by Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman in the Budget, aims to resolve pending income tax disputes. Taxpayers who submit their declarations by December 31 will benefit from reduced settlement amounts under the scheme.
