Mumbai's Ganpati PoP waste recycled into study furniture

After Ganpati visarjan, BMC collected 2,754.9 metric tonnes of idols and post-immersion material between Sept 16–27. Environmentalist Malhar Kaalambe and recycling expert Dr Binish Desai are converting Plaster of Paris from broken idols into study tables and benches for children, giving waste a second life.
