Baldev Yadav, a 58-year-old PWD worker, was killed in Chandauli, Uttar Pradesh, after the dome of an ancient Kali temple fell on a busy road during its demolition. The authorities were carrying out demolition work as part of a road expansion project. The initial reports suggest that the demolition site had not been adequately cordoned off before work began.
