A close aide of Pakistan PM Shehbaz Sharif said attempts were made to cut a deal with jailed former PM Imran Khan "twice" but he rejected them. He added the first attempt was led by Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi in November 2024 and the second one by a few people abroad. "Khan initially agreed but later backed out," he added.
