Iraq PM launches biggest anti-corruption drive in decades

Iraqi Prime Minister Ali al-Zaid has launched one of the country’s biggest anti-corruption crackdowns in decades, leading to the arrest of several politicians and officials. The probe was triggered by confessions from former Deputy Oil Minister Adnan al-Jumaili, who was arrested last month on corruption charges. Authorities have seized nearly $86 million in cash linked to the investigation so far.
