Karnataka to declare 7 more taluks drought-hit, taking total to 226

Karnataka Deputy CM G Parameshwara announced 7 more taluks will be declared drought-hit, taking the total to 226. The state will prepare a final memorandum within a week to seek central funds under NDRF guidelines. A delegation led by the CM will visit Delhi to submit the memorandum. The state had sought ₹7,000 crore for affected taluks.
