At least eight people were killed after a massive explosion at a firecracker storage facility in Kerala's Thrissur, officials said. Around 40 people were believed to be inside the shed at the time of the blast, many of whom sustained injuries. Five bodies were recovered, while body parts of three others were also found at the site, officials added.
