China has accused foreign intelligence agencies of using 'spy sea turtles' and 'spy fish' to spy on its coastline. China’s Ministry of State Security said the agencies were "collecting sensitive marine environment data such as water temperature, salinity and ocean currents in real time and transmitting them overseas via satellite." China called it a "serious threat" to its "national security".
