Beed police arrested Sunny alias Dyaneshwar Shamrao Athawale (28) from Pune, a history-sheeter wanted in several serious offences and booked under the stringent Maharashtra Control of Organised Crime Act (MCOCA). The accused had been on the run for over a year, evading arrest by changing locations. Police tracked him through technical surveillance and a tip-off before laying a trap.
