Oxford University to repatriate 39 Naga ancestral human remains

The University of Oxford has agreed to repatriate 39 human remains belonging to the Naga people taken during the colonial rule after years of the community's efforts. The Pitt Rivers Museum, which holds the world's largest Naga material collection, has around 8,000 Naga objects. The handover, scheduled in November, will be the largest repatriation of human remains from the museum.
