Ex-CIA official, found with 298 gold bars, conned US govt of ₹1,877 cr with made-up scheme
David Rush, who worked with CIA for 17 years, defrauded US government of $194 million (₹1,877 crore) after creating a fictitious government scheme using his position at the spy agency. He used the money to purchase gold bars, Rolex watches, vehicles and luxury properties in Florida. In a raid, 298 gold bars and $2-million cash were seized from his house.
