Amazon fined ₹1 lakh for allowing sale of ordinary sweets as 'Ram Mandir Prasad'
Central Consumer Protection Authority (CCPA) has imposed a ₹1 lakh fine on Amazon for allowing ordinary sweets to be sold on its platform as 'Shri Ram Mandir Ayodhya Prasad'. Sweets included ghee ladoos, khoya ladoos, boondi ladoos and cow milk pedas and were being sold without authorisation from the Ram Mandir Trust. Sweets were listed under the brand Bihar Brothers.
