Japan PM Sanae Takaichi has announced 129 private-sector cooperation pacts with India involving investments of over ₹1.1 lakh crore (JPY 2 trillion). "Today, an increasing number of Japanese companies are using India as a base for expanding engagement with Africa," she said, adding that the Free and Open Indo-Pacific framework would extend this model to more countries across Global South.
