Microsoft announced launch of its in-house AI chip, called Maia 200 to take on Nvidia AI chip. Maia 200 has been made using advanced 3-nanometer technology from Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Co, the same chip manufacturer used by Nvidia. Microsoft has added a large amount of on-chip memory in Maia 200, which helps AI models to process information faster.
