Valve is developing a community-powered feature called "Framerate Estimator" for Steam using real-world hardware data. The feature will display a chart of estimated framerates on a game's store page by analysing user's saved hardware profile and comparing it against anonymised performance data from other players with the exact same rig. It offers performance transparency for Steam Deck users.
