Banjarumale, a remote village in Dakshina Kannada district, achieved 100% voter turnout in the recent Lok Sabha election, with all 111 eligible voters casting their ballots. Despite limited amenities and challenging access, including an eight-kilometer forest trek, residents, mainly forest dwellers and tribal farmers, displayed unwavering determination to exercise their democratic rights.
