Architects and design experts have raised concerns about US President Donald Trump’s plan for a new White House ballroom. Stairs to nowhere, columns that block daylight, fake windows, oversized south portico and the absence of doors connecting the portico to the ballroom are among the design details critics have flagged. The ballroom addition is estimated to cost around $400 million.
