Charging points in trains will remain closed from 11 pm to 5 am

Railway Board has directed all zonal railways to switch off mobile charging points in train coaches between 11 pm and 5 am for passenger safety. The move follows an incident in which a passenger's power bank exploded while charging after onboard staff allegedly failed to switch off the charging points. Officials will conduct surprise inspections to ensure compliance with instructions.
