Hyderabad Police and municipal authorities have seized over seven tonnes of mangoes illegally ripened with ethylene and chemicals. Hyderabad Police Commissioner said, "Medical experts warn that consuming such fruits can lead to immediate health issues like throat irritation, nausea, vomiting and diarrhoea." He added they can lead to nervous system damage and respiratory problems in the long run.
