The government has hiked the windfall gains tax on diesel and aviation turbine fuel (jet fuel) exports while keeping the levy on petrol unchanged. The tax on diesel exports has been hiked from ₹13.5/litre to ₹14/litre, and that on jet fuel exports has been hiked from ₹9.5/litre to ₹12.5/litre. The tax on petrol continues to be ₹1.5/litre.
