Tharoor backs CJP's Kochi protest, demands CEC's resignation

Congress MP Shashi Tharoor backed the Cockroach Janata Party's 'Jantar Mantar at Kochi' protest against the Special Intensive Revision of electoral rolls, saying democracy allows dissent. He demanded CEC Gyanesh Kumar's resignation, alleging the Election Commission's actions were illegal and unconstitutional. CJP activist Abhijeet Dipke arrived in Kochi to participate, calling it a 'people's protest.'
