Mbappé apologises after Chinese brands drop him over his 'dictator' remark

France captain Kylian Mbappé apologised after Chinese brands cut ties with him over his remark referring to late Chinese leader Mao Zedong as a "dictator". "My comment was ill-judged, and I now understand that it hurt many people in China and in Chinese communities around the world," he said. "I apologise to everyone my words have upset," Mbappé added.
