Eighth Pay Commission may take house rent allowance (HRA) in X-caterory cities for lakhs of level 13 government employees to ₹73,860/month if it adopts a fitment factor of 2. HRA may reach ₹26,940 and ₹10,800 for level 7 and level 1 employees in X-category cities. For Z-category cities, level 13 and level 1 employees may get ₹24,620 and ₹3,600 HRA.
