Siva Subramaniam broke his national record as he won the men's pole vault gold medal at the 36th National Games in Gujarat on Monday. Siva cleared 5.31m, improving his mark of 5.30m set in 2018. Siva, representing Services, broke the 35-year-old National Games record of 5.10m set by Vijay Pal Singh in Kerala.
