ISRO grows cowpea seeds in 4 days in space, says, 'Life sprouts in space'

In a landmark achievement, the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) has successfully germinated cowpea seeds in four days in space. The space agency shared a picture of the seeds, saying, "Life sprouts in space!" The Compact Research Module for Orbital Plant Studies (CROPS) experiment, onboard PSLV-C60 POEM-4, is designed to study seed germination and plant sustenance in microgravity.
