Two patients in the ICU of Vijayanagara Institute of Medical Sciences (VIMS) hospital in Karnataka's Ballari reportedly died due to ventilator failure after a power cut in the hospital. The two patients have been identified as Maula Hussein (35), suffering from kidney-related ailments, and Chettemma (30), a snake-bite victim. VIMS, however, said the deaths were not due to power cuts.
