Suvendu Adhikari, West Bengal's Leader of Opposition and BJP candidate from Bhabanipur and Nandigram, alleged he was surrounded and nearly attacked by TMC supporters during a visit to a polling booth in Kolkata on Wednesday. CRPF and police intervened, resorting to a lathicharge to disperse the crowd. Adhikari is contesting against CM Mamata Banerjee in the Bhabanipur Assembly seat.
