Judge who awarded 22 death sentences in 4 months transferred to family court in UP

Muzaffarnagar judge Ravi Kumar Diwakar, who handed down 22 death sentences in 10 cases in four months, has been transferred from fast-track court to the family court, reports said. He had sentenced another man to death in September. Around 100 murder cases pending before him were transferred to another judge earlier. He will now take charge as additional principal judge.
