Investor Mark Mobius, credited with bringing emerging markets like India to the global investment spotlight, has died aged 89 in Singapore. Mobius was behind one of the first mutual funds dedicated to rapidly developing new markets and began his career in 1987. He travelled 250-300 days/year in a private jet to visit factories in remote areas and identify investment opportunities.
