Microsoft offers to pay 60,000 staffers to resign, Indian employees to also get buyouts

Microsoft is offering buyouts to employees working at a Vice Presidential level and below in India, US, UK and Canada, according to its blog post. The offers will be presented to 60,000 employees, or about 25% of the company's workforce, Bloomberg reported. Microsoft said the time-limited, voluntary programme is a new approach and that it'll help eligible employees "transition...with support".
