Odisha government on Friday suspended four officials including former director of State Council of Educational Research and Training (SCERT) Manoj Padhi for 1,678 mistakes in textbooks. The government also initiated disciplinary actions against six assistant directors. Textbooks for Classes 1 to 8 for the new academic session had several errors including describing Isaac Newton as a "great pilot".
