Novo Nordisk backs India's sickle cell elimination by 2047

Danish pharma giant Novo Nordisk has pledged support for India's National Sickle Cell Anaemia Elimination Mission, targeting 2047. India has 1.5–2 million patients, the second-highest globally. The company is advancing Phase 3 trials for a treatment and working with Indian regulators for early approval, while supporting diagnosis and awareness initiatives.
