Airlines lose ₹5 lakh crore amid Gulf war in worst hit since COVID-19: Report

The 20 biggest publicly listed airlines have lost about $53 billion (roughly ₹5 lakh crore) in market capitalisation since the US-Israel-Iran conflict began in late February, the FT reported. This marks the industry's worst disruption since COVID-19. The conflict has led to operational disruptions, weakening demand and a sharp rise in jet fuel prices.
