US President Donald Trump's envoys Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner reportedly told Ukrainian officials that the US-Russia diesel deal is part of efforts to bring Russia to the negotiating table. The deal "sends a signal that Trump is open to do things", people familiar with the meeting told Reuters. Notably, US is facing a diesel shortage amid the approaching election.
