Tibetan group urges Trump to press Xi on Panchen Lama

The International Campaign for Tibet urged President Trump to press China's Xi Jinping for the release of the 11th Panchen Lama and resumption of Sino-Tibetan dialogue during their upcoming meeting. ICT cited the Tibetan Policy Act of 2002 and Resolve Tibet Act of 2024 as guiding US policy. Twenty-nine rights groups also sent an open letter to Xi.
