2 Army armoury in-charges detained in Secunderabad arms theft

Telangana police detained two armoury in-charges, Vinod and Sheshu, for allegedly helping retired Army havildar Upputholla Mallesh steal weapons from Madras Regiment's Secunderabad armoury on August 31. Mallesh, arrested September 11, stole AK-203 rifles, pistols, and over 2,600 rounds of ammunition due to disgruntlement over forced early retirement. Financial links between Mallesh and Vinod are under probe.
