Lucknow-Kanpur E-way contractor says rains led to cracks, data shows 43% less rainfall than normal

PNC Infratech, the contractor of Lucknow-Kanpur Expressway, claimed the expressway witnessed repeated road settlements, cracks and surface failures due to heavy rains. However, data for the expressway corridor showed that Lucknow received only 269 mm of rain against its normal 380 mm from June 1 to August 10, a deficit of 29%. Unnao received 43% less rainfall than normal.
