A total of 28 police officers were suspended in Jharkhand's Bokaro after skeletal remains of an 18-year-old girl were found nearly nine months after her disappearance in July 2025. Jharkhand High Court criticised them for showing negligence in probing, delaying the FIR, harassing the victim's family, and possible collusion with the accused. Earlier, accused Dinesh Mahto confessed to the murder.
