The Supreme Court has held that a homebuyer can claim compensation for delayed delivery of a flat even after taking possession of the property. The court observed that accepting a flat does not automatically extinguish claims arising from the delay. National Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission had dismissed a petition, holding that complainant ceased to be a consumer after getting possession.
