Defending champions Satwik-Chirag crash out in first round at Asian Games

Defending champions Satwiksairaj Rankireddy and Chirag Shetty suffered a first-round exit from the Asian Games 2026 badminton men's doubles event on Friday. The Indian pair lost 21-12, 19-21, 14-21 to Thailand's Pakkapan Teeraratsakul and Peeratchai Sukphun in 68 minutes. Satwik-Chirag had won India's first-ever Asian Games badminton gold in men's doubles at Hangzhou 2023.
