Writing tool Grammarly has shut down its 'Expert Review' AI feature after a class-action lawsuit by a journalist who said the tool used her identity without permission. The feature offered editing suggestions inspired by professionals, authors and subject-matter experts without their actual consent. CEO Shishir Mehrotra apologised, acknowledging the tool had "misrepresented" experts' voices.
