Nepal bans import of made-in-India Priyagold biscuits

Nepal declared Priyagold biscuits made by India's Surya Food and Agro Ltd substandard and banned their import, sale, and distribution. This comes after Indian regulator FSSAI suspended the manufacturer's licence over alleged use of cattle-feed bran in biscuits and hygiene violations. Nepal's food regulator has directed traders to immediately recall existing stocks to protect public health.
