Reacting to Jan Suraaj Party founder Prashant Kishor's victory in Bankipur Assembly bypoll, BJP chief Nitin Nabin said the party didn't receive the expected mandate and would introspect seriously. Kishor defeated BJP candidate Neeraj Kumar by 19,324 votes, ending the party's uninterrupted hold on the seat since 1995. The bypoll was necessitated after Nabin entered Rajya Sabha in April.
