Bengaluru reclaimed over 200 km of footpath after the GBA cleared encroachments under its ongoing Safe Footpath Campaign. The drive targeted illegal structures, roadside stalls, kiosks, and other encroachments that occupied footpaths and forced people to walk on busy roads, risking accidents. The government said that it will relocate street vendors and spend ₹70 crore to repair damaged footpaths.
