In Assam's Karbi Anglong district, archaeologists and villagers discovered ancient stone sculptures, inscriptions and temple ruins during excavations. Dating back to 10th-12th centuries, relics included a depiction of Lord Ganesha etched onto a large rock alongside Shiva lingams. District Commissioner Aranyak Saikia said artefacts are being handed over to District Museum in Diphu for preservation.
