Paediatrician Dr Sivaranjani Santosh criticised Andhra Pradesh government's decision to give parents ₹30,000 and ₹40,000 incentives on birth of third and fourth child, respectively. She asked whether one-time financial aid was enough to support kids' long-term needs. She said the money would get exhausted within days while raising kids requires financial, emotional and physical support for years.
