short by Vaishnavi Mishra / on Saturday, 31 October, 2026
Term insurance premiums generally rise with age as the likelihood of health problems increases. For a ₹1 crore cover, annual premiums range from ₹875 to ₹940 at age 30, rising to ₹1,427–₹1,578 at 40 and ₹2,616–₹3,312 at 50, according to Policybazaar data. This means premiums more than triple between ages 30 and 50, making early purchases more affordable.
