The Centre is planning a relief package to support state-run oil marketing companies (OMCs) after losses of nearly ₹75,000 crore during April to June, the Economic Times reported, citing sources. The report added that several OMCs have been selling fuel below market-linked prices since February 28 and expect to offset losses. The Centre compensated ₹30,000 crore to OMCs last year.
