Trump announces 'permanent security control' over Greenland in new deal

US President Donald Trump announced a deal with Denmark that grants the United States "permanent control over security" in Greenland. "The US will FOREVER have the complete ability to do what is necessary in Greenland in order to secure and defend ​the security of Greenland and the US," Trump said on Truth Social. Earlier, Trump had threatened to annex Greenland.
